9 Game-Changing Kitchen Essentials to Unlock Your Kitchen’s Full Potential

Are you tired of making the same store bought meal kits every night? I have great news. You don’t have to be a culinary genius to craft five star meals. These must-have kitchen essentials are user friendly and stylish, which will make you the perfect host for any occasion. As always, I look for the best quality products for the lowest price. If you love these finds, check out my other posts here.

Cooking Utensils

  • Lets start with the basics, cooking utensils. These don’t seem “game-changing” at first, but there will come a day that you don’t have the utensil you need, and this set comes with every utensil you will need and comes in four styles to match any kitchen. My favorite part – its dishwasher safe. With these kitchen essentials, you can prioritize cooking and not have to worry about scrubbing every dish.

    Thawing Trays

    • Quickly (and safely) thaw your meats out with this tray. Using hot water or a microwave can cause your food to lose nutrients and quality. Long gone are the days of changing your plans last minute because you forgot to thaw something out. This cooking tool is an absolute must have.

Chicken Shredder Claws (my favorite kitchen essential)

      • I would rather spend more money on pre shredded chicken than try and shred it myself, but this product has changed my mind. These heat resistant chicken shredders add a little fun to prepping chicken, and give the perfect shredded consistency for any meal. You can also use these to lift larger pieces of meat! I hate getting my hands dirty when I cook so these are the perfect kitchen essential for people like me.

        Vegetable Spiralizer

        • If you’re cooking for a crowd – presentation is everything. This is the quickest and easiest way to make delicious food that appeals to all the senses. This tool has 8 options, has a food catcher, and is easy to store. If this doesn’t give you the cut you’re looking for, try these herb scissors. Or try them both.

          Silicone Baking Mat

          • I have wasted so much money on foil and parchment paper trying to avoid huge messes on my baking sheets. These baking mats have saved me so much money (and time). The only downside to these is that they are not dishwasher safe, but they clean very easily with soap and water.

          Kitchen Mixer

          • I don’t have the money to buy THE kitchenaid mixer (if you do, it is still totally worth it), but this mixer does an amazing job for over half the price. It also comes in tons of colors to match every kitchen style. My absolute favorite thing to make is this sopapilla cheesecake bar recipe, but it is nearly impossible without my kitchen mixer.

            Food Scale

            • The more time you spend in the kitchen, the more frustrated you will become with standard measuring cups and spoons. This scale is the perfect way to save time and increase the accuracy of your recipes. You would be surprised how much a recipe can differ depending on how the ingredients were measured.

              Immersion Hand Blender

              • Blenders can be so messy and a little scary sometimes. This tool gives you complete control when it comes to blending your food. With 16 modes, you can craft virtually any consistency you’d like. Anything from a chunky salsa to a smooth strawberry shake.

                Cast Iron Press

                • This is advertised as a burger press, but it is so much more. In college, my favorite dining hall made flying saucers (Sic Em Bears) and it was the most sought after meal on campus. It was a burrito stuffed with all your favorite things, pressed with one of these bad boys. My husband has recently learned how to make them and I am in love. The BEST $20 I have ever spent!!!

                  Pasta Maker

                  • You don’t fully understand this tool until the first time you have home made pasta. If you made it yourself, its even more satisfying. There are no words for the difference between hand made and store bought – but you will never buy pasta from the store again. Just trust me on this one, this cooking tool is worth it.
